Dave Strock had three tries to beat OSU late in the 1972 game. (That was the third of a three-game home series in October with SMU, then Houston, then then OSU). As I recall, he missed a FG on fourth down. OSU gets it, then fumbles. We try another FG and miss, but have a penalty called against OSU. The third attempt was the winner.

This recollection may be a bit skewed, after all was 49 years ago, but is close. He did kick it three times, I remember that.
