The marquee event this week is Emily Mahar playing as an amateur at the US Women's Open this week at the Olympic Club in San Francisco. She is the second active Hokie to play in the Open after Amanda Hollandsworth.

Johnson Wagner, Drew Weaver and Trevor Cone are playing the Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh at the CC at Wakefield Plantation. None of them have played at Wakefield Plantation in the past. Joey Lane finished 18th (for 4 spots) in Monday qualifying.

Scott Vincent is playing at one of the Japanese majors this week, the Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup at Shishido Hills CC West. He is T31 after round one and is 35th on the money list even starting their season a month late.

Amanda Hollandsworth and the Symetra Tour are off this week.
