Hey, my (at the time) 12 year old made a boat out of a pair of oyster

floats, a skinny shipping pallet and a piece of bamboo. The pallet held a slot for a battery, then just add a little Minkota motor. He loved it because it wasn't buoyant enough to keep his big brother afloat.
