For the US government and I can tell you there are a lot of Hokies in the Embassies I have worked in. All different agencies and Departments and the Military also. I have been doing this for 22 years and have worked with at least one Tech grad at every one I have worked at. At some it has been more.

A funny one though... look up Bruce Reidel. I worked with him and his wife at NATO in Brussels. He didn’t care a lick about Tech football. I tried to talk to him about it one day. He definitely was CIA...and it says so on his Wikipedia page if I remember correctly.

I bring two baseball caps in my suitcase when I travel. A Tech one and a Nationals one. I usually wear the Tech one on the plane and in the airports. I have met someone who went to Tech in every country I have been to save one. Over forty countries and it is only Brazil that has eluded me.

Also I just do IT for the State Department.
