go Ryan! such a class guy with class parents. met them during his "sit-out
year" at the spitt game.
very personable, friendly and all deeply appreciative of his upcoming chance to play at VT.
i was with Holston's family and JH (true freshman season) was in the game (4th qtr) helping us kill clock by running the ball down their throats. RW noticed JH's mom's excitement for her boy, so every time they wig-wagged the play in, RW would read the sideline signs and tell Mrs H her son was going to tote the rock. JH carried about 8 straight times picking up first downs for us until they got to victory formation time. RW didn't have to do it but he could see how much joy he was giving her along with JH securing the ball as he picked up yardage on each carry. his parents were loving their son's sharing, too.
it was a good day; good win; and Ryan will be a Hokie i'll never forget. i wish him the best.
