Yes, and runners on the bags causes the D to have to make more decisions

and execute them quicker in order to turn double plays, keep runners from advancing extra bases, etc.
Tech had runners on the bags in every inning and had the lead off get on base in 5 of the 7 innings. UCLA's D was under pressure all night and it showed; resulting in 5 errors and a couple other plays that were not made.
