Original estimate was $1k job (replace some tiles & wall, due to moisture)


He wasn't here for the estimate, and was a bit skeptical --- he tapped the tiles a few times, and said "I don't know, seems solid to me. Let me work on the other bathroom, and then we'll get somebody to bring a Moisture Meter. Just to double-check."

Turns out, there *was* some moisture. But at least he took the time to double-check, instead of automatically installing the most-expensive option.

So I guess that somewhat qualifies as "above & beyond" --- he showed some extra attention & thought.
