My little girl turns 9 tomorrow. For some reason, I'm having a hard time...

...with this one. I guess it's because she's not so little anymore and I realize that my days of being her favorite play buddy are numbered. I honestly feel really fortunate that she still views me that way at 9. As crappy as the pandemic has been, it has given me more time with my daughter than I've ever had before, and we have become so close during this past year. I will always look back fondly on my year of working from home, because it has allowed us to develop such a close bond.

Being a dad is by far the best thing I'll ever get to do.
