with my wife. We live in a golf community in the north Georgia mountains. Our club is having a member/guest tournament this weekend and today is a practice round. As we walked near the golf pro shop,we saw a guy getting out of a Range Rover with his clubs. We briefly spoke about how beautiful the weather is today. Really nice guy. I mentioned to my wife that he looked like Marcus Allen. We,then,walked on and eventually ended up in the pro shop. He was in there by then and,I swear,it was Allen. I did not want to bother him,so we walked on. We spoke to someone who was working the tournament and he was not sure whether Allen was playing. But,he did say that Jerome Bettis was playing. As we walked through the parking lot,a shorter black guy walked by with a huge Super Bowl like ring on one hand. Pretty sure it was Bettis. Another guy in a golf cart saw my VT shirt and asked about whether Fuente would survive at VT. I said the next year will tell the tale for him. I did not recognize the guy,but he was playing with Bettis. Interesting day.
