I just dropped off the vehicle again. In chatting with the service manager, he mentioned that the guy that did the original fuel pump replacement no longer works there. Not surprising giving the issues I'm having.
With regard to the brake issue, the shop originally said they were never able to replicate the problem when I dropped it off to have the brakes checked. That's not inconceivable, considering I only encountered the problem occasionally. I honestly think the issue was stemming from corrosion on the outside, not in the brake lines themselves. The vehicle sat for several months without being driven once and after that hiatus is when the brake issue first started to occur.
