SportsNight was highly underrated...at least by viewers


Critics absolutely loved it, as did I. But it struggled to find an audience.

I'd heard the problem was the title. It made you think the show was about sports. But it was really a show about a show about sports. So the people who would like it, avoided it. And the people who wanted a sports show, didn't get what they were looking for.

But that was a brilliantly written and performed show.
