the inability to get timely hitting has been the main weakness in this series, as well as most of the other losses this season. They stranded nine base runners today I believe on top of similar combined totals in yesterday's double header. When you cannot get timely hits, it places even more of a premium on not committing defensive mistakes or mistakes from the circle.

I thought this series would be tough but, I saw the floor as a split. Now they will be scrambling tomorrow just not to get swept. Also puts the upcoming ACC tourney in a new light and scrambles the postseason picture quite a bit. As they say, that's why you play the game. This weekend has raised a lot more questions than it has answered so far despite getting some players back from injury which most would have reasonably hoped might bring some more clarity. Not ready to hit panic button, however, substantially less confident than entering this weekend.
