It is a different world and that Lane culture is now gone. A lot of the people who pushed and helped develop the atmosphere that made a Syracuse QB say, "I hate losing to those fans, they think they play too." are now gone. We are now working with a different base of people from which to draw fans from. To them, entertainment is so different, every game is televised or streamed somewhere. Tailgating as a big thing is more couch potatoing now. It was fans locked into the game then and now it is watching the game whether on the couch or stadium, locked in to cell phones.

Just a different people and culture/ assignment of entertainment values now.
