It is nice to see the sport growing nationally and internationally.

Lacrosse was not even an option when I went to school in NoVA, so really glad my daughter's have had the opportunity to play.

Would be great to find a dominant draw specialist. Players like Cummings or Jenner won't come around often, but I think the top clubs are producing good talent that VT can grab.

Agree on the size element of the game. There are very good players who don't fit this bill, thinking of players like Ortega, but in general agree finding players with size, speed, and athleticism is critical. And you need to be able to play fair, but aggressive and physical. This is the biggest difference I see in club players from LI and MD vs VA. Too many NoVA parents expecting foul calls for the slightest touches. I can tell you my daughter comes home black and blue every tournament weekend. It's not for everyone.

My daughter is 5'8" and sometimes she looks small when playing top club programs. With the more physical nature of the college game, size will help. Players need to be able to take the physical pounding at that level.
