NASCAR is even more shameless than that...
I watched a documentary about product advertising and product placement in NASCAR, which is absolutely insane. Watch at the winners circle where they have the "Hat Man" constantly switching off hats of the winner just to get their sponsor a shot of the winner with their hat on.
They showed a video of a driver interview where a guy in the background had a logo hat from someone who was not a sponsor of that driver, each time the camera would shift, the guy in the background would shift to keep in frame. Watching him you could see him glancing at the camera so the logo was in the camera shot the maximum amount of time. Free advertising. Even the parts of the car had different rates for advertising. Most expensive part of the car was, no, not the hood, but the right rear quarter panel as it has the most consistent video minutes of any other part of the car and faces the crowd.
