Funny thing is... that's when the offense was good...

It was when the offense started throwing together a mish-mesh of this concept and that concept and this other concept that things bogged down. We tried to do too much as an offense. Then we would "simplify" and BOOM, we'd get better nearly overnight.

I'm not as familiar with the scheme today, but I get the idea that we're in a similar boat now... often trying to do too much.
