I could see the writing on the wall.
Back when I did it (was one of those rare ones to go straight through, VT undergrad to MBA) there were never more than about 12 kids in a class. Now, that might sound great but some classes only had 5 or 6. You don’t learn a whole lot that way.
And there was only one other person who was going straight through like me. The others were all working (Roanoke, Richmond, DC) and actually had to commute to some of these classes. I hated to see it go but I know why they did it. Not enough demand or ability/willingness for working folks to be in Blacksburg full time.
Also, I can admit it now, some of the profs and exams were the EXACT same ones I had undergrad. But I got my piece of paper and it helped me get my dream job, so all good.
