Not a phone, but the wife’s Apple Watch fell to the ground in a trip to

NYC a couple of years back. We weee at a Christmas market, and most of the hard surface was covered with some green carpet. The damned watch found the only tiny area of exposed pavement close by. Shattered on impact. I will say the Apple Store was amazing, and she had a brand new watch by the time we got home from the trip.
