We've had 2 for a number of years and


ran into similar issues with the wall control units. Liftmaster replaced them for free with a slightly different model number - they've been fine ever since.

If you're looking to replace already existing 'traditional' ones on a rail, you may want to consider the wiring. I had outlets in the ceiling that lined up with the 'old' opener, but weren't where we needed them for the 'new'. I just ran a low gauge wire power strip over closer to the doors - all good.
