ALW wishes he was Sondheim, who redefined musicals, but Benson is the best


I'll link to a recent free access WSJ article claiming Sondheim is the greatest living US writer. Take that, Bob Dylan!

Benson was a great straight up jazz guitarist who played with Brother Jack McDuff and then others before he crossed over. Versatile player.
