The NFL and other pro leagues have always been about


business, politics and power, and then sports. That has always been the order and business has always stood out among the rest.

Managing a successful business at the level of the NFL (many, many billions) has always required political influence and political outcomes. ALWAYS.

It is only as of the last few years that people starting paying attention under the hood. People just don't like what they see, particularly when players push back on the politics. Same for NCAA. Players want to be paid? That has a tendency to frustrate a block of fans.

It is what it is.
