I worked one place that would do a patio cookout


On Fridays in the spring, including beer.

They made it clear if anyone couldn't act like a grown up, it would go badly for them. But about half the company had a light buzz on Friday afternoons.

At another, boss all but required drinking heavily after hours on business trips.
