I would guess med staff knows extent of damage and risk of further injury

And that was weighed into the decision for him to give it a go. Based on that, I hope that him even being out there means the risk for more significant damage is low.

But yes I agree he’s still very injured and I strongly suspect he’s going to need surgery after this season.
