No ESPN+ is their separate subscription streaming service

The evolution is incredibly confusing but this service is what started as ESPN3 where you could stream additional events online that weren’t broadcast on any of the ESPN TV channels (at one point I don’t think you even needed a cable/satellite subscription but eventually you used those accounts to access the content). They then shifted that content under a WatchESPN umbrella, which had its own separate iPhone/Android app at one point and included the content airing on ESPN TV channels as well as the “ESPN3” content. The WatchESPN app was discontinued a few years ago and that functionality was integrated into the overarching ESPN app.

After they came up with ESPN+, they blended the former ESPN3/WatchESPN content (live TV subscription required for access) with the ESPN+ content.

But to answer your question, you need a live TV subscription to watch the NCAA wrestling matches. An ESPN+ subscription does not grant you access to that content.
