Trey stumbled a little bit at states last year even losing to a guy who committed to NC State, Dylan Reinert. I don't know if this caused some schools to back away, I wouldn't think so. I also never heard any reason why he decommitted from Penn St, but they have Alex Facundo coming in and every ranking I have seen has AF at #1. I can't say if both will wrestle at the same weight class in college (Alex and Trey) but who wants to go to a school who already has the #1 guy at your weight. A lot of people including me, thought Trey was NC State bound after the decommitment, due to his relationship with the Hidlays. I don't know if State felt like they already had their guy in Reinert or if our coaches just straight up won the recruiting battle. Either way, I'm glad he chose us. Hope he brings home a state championship this year.
