Deegan's span - lets say from foot to outstretched arms - might be close to twice Mitch's reach. I never understood how he could be that tall and that thin. My son wrestled Deegan a lot, and said that you'd get in on a move, feel pretty good about how things were going, and then Deegan would reach over your body like no one else could and grab an ankle from a seemingly impossible distance. And Mitch is about as compact as they come. About as interesting a difference in styles and body types you will ever see at this level. Should be fascinating to watch if they meet up.

BTW, both great young men, and sorry we lost them. I still don't entirely understand what happened with Mitch, but Deegan is a young guy who really belongs in a small place like Ames. Yes, Blacksburg was too metropolitan for him.
