Okay, after the first weekend of Conference Tournaments, here are the numbers related to Hillegas getting an at-large. Now, we don't know about seeding but let's use the 2nd coaches panel rankings as a good guide for seeds. Hillegas is #22 before the weekend.

After this weekend (ACC, MAC, EIWA, SoCon, and Pac-12 tournaments), only 1 wrester (UVa's #14 Brian Courtney) did not get an auto bid who is ranked about Hillegas. A number of wrestlers ranked below Hillegas did not get auto bids including the following:

#23 Derek Spann (Buffalo) - finished 6th in MAC, 2-2 record
#24 Zach Trampe (Bing) - DNF in top 8 of EIWA tournament
#25 Peter Liparis (ASU) - ASU went with another wrestler in Pac-12 T.
#28 Lawrence Spaenz (Caly Poly) - Went 0-2 in tournament
#31 Franco Valdez (Chattanooga) - Went 1-1 and then withdrew with injury

Summary, was a pretty good 1st weekend for Hillegas.

This weekend will include the Big 12 and Big 10 tournaments. 8 allocations for Big 10 and 4 for Big 12. Big 10 has 9 ranked wrestlers (7 above Hillegas) and Big 12 has 7 ranked wresters with 5 above Hillegas.
