Because Mekhi would not be allowed to go to NCAAT then.


Unless you test positive for COVID and are held out of your conference trny due to procotols, then you will not be permitted to go to NCAAT unless you participate in conference trny - Mekhi weighed in and injury defaulted so he "participated". So in essence, the staff feels that Mekhi will be ready for NCAAT to pursue another title and provide valuable team points then. We really do not have a viable 165 alternate that is as talented as Mekhi to replace him or would qualify for NCAAT anyway.
