I think you should be able to connect his actions to a decline in recruiting, because bringing in enough talent (and keeping it) is the issue with football as I see it. I think the coaches are likely good enough if the talent is there. Now, it is on the coaches as well to bring in that talent so they can't just let themselves off the hook that way.

But, if you can establish that Sands is doing things, or not doing things, that directly impacts the ability of the coaches to recruit, then I think you have an argument.

I have no idea if that is the case.
