Legitimacy of government is what keeps it working. When people stop

trusting our government, it can fall apart. So transparency is what allows people who can’t know everything to accept that they are being told the truth. That the truth can be back checked and verified if it becomes necessary. It’s been a long time since our country has been in this spot. We need transparency and open back-checking on all sides.
