One thing to make it easier


I have one of those electric kettles that boils water very quickly (I make coffee in a Chemex).

I hit the button on that to boil water very quickly, then pour that in the pan. When you turn the stove on, water comes to a boil almost instantly since you just dumped a pot of 212 degrees water into it to start.
