Whatever works for you go with it.
I was asking about AA/sponsor since I know some people go that route and I think that 'support' does work for some people. I've never been to AA or been a sponsor so I don't know anything behind what little I've read.

Addiction does run on my maternal side. Pretty sure my siblings are functioning alcoholics and lost a family member who OD'd a few years ago. And my own kiddie ended up in the ER with BAC .30.
