and that is when she didn't come back. They probably told her they need more out of her and she needs to step up and help Kitley and didn't like it. Probably used COVID as an excuse. I don't think it was simply because of COVID for her. You can tell with Gregg and Baines that they want to be there. Honestly we are getting more from them anyway. If Calhoun didn't leave she would be getting minutes now. Proof that you don't just leave when you are not getting playing time. You never know what is going to happen. Gregg is benefiting from being dedicated to the team no matter what and working through the process. She deserves what she is getting now. Jones might end up losing her spot if she doesn't return next year. I am not confident she will though. There could be something to the "personal issues" as to why she left her old school too. Some players have a hard time accepting criticism when they have been a star growing up before entering college. You have to be able to accept criticism to grow. I usually will not throw players under the bus and kind of feel guilty for posting this, but I really see this as more of a discipline issue over anything else. I hope she does come back stronger from it and returns to the same player she was in the non conference schedule. I think she got frustrated when things were not working right for her in ACC play.
