FWIW I am 49.

Lisinopril itself isn't awful in terms of side effects. You will feel a bit tired at first. The dry cough is something that sticks with you -- but my experience is that it isn't that aggravating. (Although it does tend to freak out folks in our present pandemic situation.)

If you can do what you need to get off of it, it's definitely worth it. The additional BP drugs do have side effects which aren't pleasant.
