I was stationed at NAS Pax River in the mid-90s, and I almost whacked one..


...approaching the field. Scared the crap out of me because (a) those guys are huge, and (b) really didn't want to whack a national bird. Eagles were still a little rare back then...

So thankful I see one almost every day I walk the neighborhood.
