One reason I ask...
My team runs a pick and roll offense similar to Gonzaga style. I dont think it is effective if the ball and/or the roll is getting touches going to the rim. Create fouls, get the kickouts after you make the defense collapse, etc. If the rim attack isnt a threat then it is too easy to stay on shooters. Then you end up with too many bad shots a la VT last night. Granted high school d isnt as good in the passing lanes or recovery but still... got to find some of those tight windows and make them pay.
