My daughter [no SHUN allowed/per LoungeRules] just finished rabies shot #14

She’s been feeding several stray cats at her house. Another cat came along last Sunday and attacked the smallest stray. So my daughter went outside with a water spray bottle to break up the attack. The aggressive cat lunged at her and bit through her sweater sleeve and deep into her forearm.

At the ER, she got 10 shots. 6 in the wound. One each in her hips and shoulders. The estimated out-of-pocket for those first 10 shots is $4000. (She gets VT employee health insurance). The final 6 shots will cost about $100 a pop.

The local animal control showed up and gave her a live animal trap to catch the cat for them.
