I apologize for not updating you guys sooner, but lots of moving parts this time of year, especially with Ty and James wrestling all over the country!
Yesterday went great, we were able to roll out our new mat in Cassell for the 2nd time, and all the boys made weight and competed an hour later! A few of our guys were under the weather, but we plan to be at full strength come Jan. 2nd against Campbell. We will take yesterdays performances, as well as some of the matches from 2 weeks ago, to set our starting line up in 9 days. With that being said, the NCAA/ACC has given us the ability to wrestle matches after the dual, giving all of our guys the ability to wrestle official matches equivalent to those they would have gotten at open tournaments. (A little confusing I know, but to be able to qualify for the NCAA tournament, every wrestler must have wrestled at least 4 official matches.)
All the boys went home last night for 3-4 days and we will be back the 27th for a week of practice before the season officially begins!!
