Three weeks is right for Pfizer, but it depends on which vaccine.

Moderna and AstraZeneca are likely four weeks apart when/if they're approved. Johnson & Johnson vaccine only requires a single dose.
Pfizer is the only one approved so far, so that's the one your wife is probably getting.
