Would love to think ACC could pull from B1G or SEC
But I don't think that will be in the cards. For Geography, existing rivalries, and travel, I believe WVU is the best choice. If WVU isn't in the cards, then I believe that the ACC should think like a television network and go after a media market. Notre Dame likes playing in these places too. It could incent.
The choices are in the American. Houston - Houston, Temple - Philadelphia, USF - Tampa, UCF - Orlando, SMU - Dallas, Cincinnati - Cincinnati, Tulane - New Orleans. I understand the argument against UCF/USF, but Florida is twice the population of North Carolina. It can handle more than 3 P5 members. And I'm not so sure that the ACC would not want a Texas presence if it could have one.
If the ACC was able to lure a B1G or SEC, my choices would be Penn State and Tennessee to go after. Would settle for Kentucky or South Carolina. But I think this is not in the cards.
