Top 115 is the cutoff for what most people consider "having a card"


That is category 10 of 26 levels of Euro exemptions that pretty much means you can make your own schedule. He is currently 137th and playing out of category 18 based on his Asian tour finish last year. Category 19 is players ranked 133-150. Category 18 also includes tour players ranked 116-132. So his status wouldn't really change unless he wins or gets above 115.

As I understand it, you cannot change, your status cannot move down based on 2020, and can only move up if you win an event. So other than not qualifying for the end of the year event, his 2021 schedule will look very much like his 2020. I don't know what he will decide when the Asian and Japan tours start allowing non-natives to go back to those tours.
