Want this staff to succeed but require different results.

Would really love to see this staff succeed and don't want to become one of these 2 years and shown the door type of programs. If the goal is student-athlete, there needs to be some level stability. In a way, I think the staff was a victim of their initial success. If they started 5-6, 6-7, 9-3, 10-2 its a different story; the overall record isn't bad but the trend is 100% concerning - especially if we consider recruiting the second derivative.

Apparently they thought this year was a Mulligan; it isn't. They haven't adapted or overcome the challenges. That being said, if I was Whit I'd want to see the statistics for teams which made a coordinator change vs. the ones that didn't. Penn state was playoff bound and can't win a game because* of scheme change.

Wake, Liberty & Miami were major disappointments. Pitt could be lumped in because the 4th and goal probably would have changed the game. It's a game of inches and we are not making the difference for whatever reason. Losing to teams less talented, player development, situational play calling and scheme/game planning have seemed atrocious at times. That's coaching.

If they want to have a shot, I think Whit and Fuente need to have a press conference outlining the vision of the future with goals, expectations & realistic timeframes. Maybe this is private but I can't imagine that 40+ recruiting classes, losing seasons and no bowl game are part of the plan. For the fan base and future players we need to have communication about how this is going to change to get a different result.
