in the last few years of Beamer's tenure that getting or missing out on the very best players (top 5) in Virginia are the difference between being a 10 win team and one that is just above average.

Fu has done a good job upgrading the offensive line. He's gotten good players in other positions - perhaps an upgrade over what he inherited.

What seems to be lacking are those few super elite players that really makes the difference.

BTW - Herbert seems to be one of those elite players. We just a need a few more.
