Keeping Bud around paid off in the short term but long term it basically meant we had to do two separate rebuilds, one on offense, one on defense. If we'd completely overhauled the staff when Fuente first came here we probably would have lost the bowl streak and had some serious growing pains but would most likely be in a stronger situation today. I'm not even saying that how we did it was wrong... it made sense at the time. But it definitely traded some short term issues for ones farther down the road.
