great question. Most of us are riding pretty high right now. But from a CFB perspective how good are we? It’s hard to say since VT and all teams have various COVID impacts week to week. But from the eye test, the OL and run game looks strong. Even if our opponents to date end up being weaker than we thought, our OL/RB generally have been dominant and doing things we haven’t seen in a long time, getting to the second and third levels manhandling defenders. KH is making cutbacks and hitting holes that no recent RB did. Captain Obvious says our passing game hasn’t impressed yet and the defense is pretty weak. Our DEs will need to be dominant to take heat off the DBs and our LBs have been surprisingly MIA. Our DTs need to continue to improve and be effective run-stoppers. I don’t know what’s up with the LBs who I thought would be a strength. Overall, with our Defense struggling, our ceiling is probably #15 and floor, with our strong run game (barring key injuries or COVID collapse) is around #25.
