Running shoes are 12s, but the Oboz 12s felt a little tight in the toe box. When I say tight, feared it would generate blisters during serious hikes like the Merrell Moabs. What's crazy is the midfoot back felt exactly the same with the 12s & 13s, but the 13s had a far more comfortable toe box. I went with the "non-waterproof" version.

I tried on the Keen Targee IIs, and although they were comfortable, from the balls of my foot forward felt like there was less "cushioning." It felt like one of the foot bed layers stopped at the arch.

Oboz for the win!
