If I have learned anything this year it is how rewarding DIY projects are

And the versatility of plexiglass. So I say get that old glass off and slap on some plexiglass. Flex seal should be used to bond it.

Seriously with iPads take them to Apple store or authorized repair shops. The independent phone repair places are generally ok for phones but I would take my iPad to the official guys.
