WOW: President Tyler (born 1790) has a grandson alive today who went to VPI

Harrison Tyler is the grandson of the 10th president of the United States and is alive today. The math seems impossible, but President Tyler had a son at 71, and his son had a child at roughly 67. That's 138 years since birth, so if Harrison is 92 now, that spans the 230 years.

I was perplexed by the timeline, so I looked up Harrison Tyler and he just happened to have attended Va Tech. Anyway, crazy to think someone who is alive today had a grandfather who while in his 30's literally knew Thomas Jefferson well.
