It can take up to 48 hours to show symptoms, so if someone tests negative Friday morning, gets exposed that evening, plays Saturday, they won't show symptoms until possibly Sunday night. They won't test positive until Monday.

That doesn't explain to me why contact tracing should hold anyone out an entire week + a game though.
