I remember Kofax and Drysdale mostly from the 1966 World Series


I know that they were generally great pitchers. In the 1966 World Series the Dodgers pitching was supposed to shut down the Orioles' bats. As it turned out, the Orioles' pitching (Moe Drabowsky, Jim Palmer, Wally Bunker and Dave McNally) held the Dodges to a total of 2 runs as the Os won in 4 straight.
In those days weekday games were played in the afternoon - remember watching the first two games from LA in the afternoon after I got home from school.
